Arafat Minhas’ All-Round Brilliance Leaves England Helpless

The second match of the tri-nation ODI series featuring Sri Lanka, Pakistan and England was played today in Rawalpindi, with hosts Pakistan taking on England.

Pakistan secured an impressive 87-run victory, thanks to an outstanding all-round performance from Arafat Minhas.

After winning the toss, England elected to field first. Pakistan posted a competitive total of 302 for nine in their allotted 50 overs.

Hasan Nawaz was Pakistan’s leading scorer with 79 runs off 74 balls, while Arafat Minhas contributed an impressive 59 off 58 deliveries.

For England, Sonny Baker claimed three wickets.

In reply, England were bowled out for 215 in 38.4 overs. Despite getting off to a strong start and reaching 91 for one at one stage, England’s innings collapsed under the pressure of Minhas’ superb bowling.

Minhas ripped through the English batting line-up, claiming six wickets for just 40 runs to turn the match decisively in Pakistan’s favour.

With this 87-run victory, Pakistan have now won both of their matches in the tournament and sit at the top of the points table.

Arafat Minhas was named Player of the Match for his outstanding all-round contribution.
